The Ossianic Ballads were well received at their performance at the National Library of Scotland, featured on BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Nan Gael and BBC Alba TV. Miranda Heggie wrote in the Arts Desk 'Bigham's arrangements are sensitive to the original Gaelic melodies, with fragments of the tune intricately developed and woven throughout each instrument's line. This is an interesting and important project; it's vital this Gaelic tradition is kept alive, and juxtaposing these ancient melodies and folk-singing style with contemporary string quartet arrangements is an innovative yet sympathetic way of doing this.' They have since been recorded at Castle Sound studios, Pencaitland, and will be released soon and available also on the National Library's website.
Anti Atlas has released its second ep Codachrome, featuring French-Malagasy singer Fred Lessore. Radio play on BBC Radio networks, Mi-Soul and stations worldwide from Canada to Korea.

On 23rd September there's a performance of a new work I have been commissioned to write at the National Library of Scotland in Edinburgh. The 'Ossianic Ballads' are rhapsodies based on the heroic lays or laoidhean that came over from Ireland to the Highlands and Islands from the twelfth century onwards. The concert features the renowned Gaelic singer Màiri Macmillan and the Edinburgh Quartet, 'Scotland's string quartet'.
